In the game White played Rxf7 and duly won, however better was to block the a1-h8 diagonal with
1 Rf6 Bxf6 2. Bxf6 Rxf6 3. Qh8+ Kf7 4. Rh7 mate
Instead 1. Bf6 works in the same way. Black can play a couple of ‘ spite’ checks but nothing to stop the mate
